Terms of Service
Welcome to Wandor. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Wandor mobile application, website, and related services. By creating an account or using Wandor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the app.
1. What Wandor Is
Wandor is a daily outdoor photography app. Every day, users receive the same quest: a small prompt that encourages them to go outside, observe their surroundings, and take a photo.
Examples of quests include prompts such as "Find something perfectly symmetrical" or "Find somewhere you've never stopped before."
Wandor is designed to encourage real-world activity. It does not use likes, public popularity scores, algorithmic feeds, or competitive ranking systems.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Wandor.
If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may only use Wandor with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
By using Wandor, you confirm that you are allowed to enter into these Terms.
3. Your Account
You may need to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for:
- keeping your login details secure;
- all activity that happens under your account;
- providing accurate account information;
- notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service.
4. Daily Quests
Wandor provides one shared daily quest to users. You are free to interpret each quest creatively, but you are responsible for how you complete it. You should never put yourself or others at risk in order to complete a quest.
You agree not to:
- trespass on private property;
- enter unsafe, restricted, or illegal areas;
- violate traffic rules or public safety laws;
- harass, stalk, photograph, or follow people without appropriate consent;
- damage property or disturb public spaces;
- complete quests while driving or in other unsafe situations.
Wandor is meant to encourage mindful outdoor activity, not risky behavior.
5. Photos and User Content
When you upload, submit, or create content in Wandor — including photos, captions, route information, profile information, or other material — this is called "User Content."
You keep ownership of your User Content. By uploading User Content to Wandor, you give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, process, resize, compress, transmit, and use that content as needed to operate and improve the app. This license exists only so we can provide the Wandor service. We do not claim ownership of your photos.
You confirm that:
- you own your User Content or have permission to upload it;
- your User Content does not violate someone else's rights;
- your User Content does not break the law;
- your User Content does not contain harmful, abusive, hateful, sexual, violent, or illegal material.
We may remove User Content if we believe it violates these Terms, the law, or the safety of the community.
6. Photos of Other People
You are responsible for respecting other people's privacy. Do not upload photos of people in situations where they reasonably expect privacy. Do not photograph children, private individuals, homes, workplaces, or sensitive locations in a way that could be invasive, unsafe, or unlawful.
If someone asks you not to photograph them, or asks you to remove a photo of them, you should respect that request.
7. Location and Route Sharing
Wandor may allow you to record or share your walking route. Route sharing is optional. You are responsible for deciding whether to share location-related information.
You should avoid sharing routes that reveal sensitive locations, such as:
- your home address;
- your workplace;
- your school;
- someone else's private address;
- places you visit regularly;
- locations that could compromise your safety or someone else's safety.
We may provide privacy settings that allow you to hide, limit, or disable route sharing. You are responsible for reviewing those settings before posting.
8. No Emergency or Safety Service
Wandor is not a safety, navigation, emergency, fitness, medical, or location-monitoring service. You are responsible for your own safety when using the app. Always pay attention to your surroundings and follow local laws.
Do not rely on Wandor for directions, emergency support, health advice, or personal safety decisions.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Wandor to:
- break any law or regulation;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- upload harmful, threatening, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, sexual, violent, or illegal content;
- impersonate another person or organization;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app;
- upload viruses, malware, or harmful code;
- attempt to access another user's account;
- spam, harass, intimidate, or exploit other users;
- use the app for commercial surveillance, tracking, or data collection;
- manipulate, disrupt, or abuse the daily quest system.
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we believe these rules have been violated.
10. Intellectual Property
Wandor, including its name, logo, design, software, quests, interface, branding, and related materials, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Wandor without our written permission.
You may use Wandor only as allowed by these Terms.
11. Quest Content
The daily quests, prompts, wording, concepts, and related creative materials are part of the Wandor service. You may share your own completed quest posts as allowed by the app, but you may not copy or reuse Wandor's quest system, prompt library, branding, or app concept for a competing service without permission.
12. App Stores
If you download Wandor through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or another app marketplace, their terms may also apply. The app store provider is not responsible for Wandor, its content, support, or any claims related to the app, except as required by applicable law.
13. Beta Features
Wandor may offer beta, experimental, or early-access features. These features may change, break, or be removed at any time. We may collect feedback and usage information to improve them.
Beta features are provided "as is" and may be less stable than the final version of the app.
14. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Wandor at any time. This includes changes to quests, features, account systems, route-sharing options, photo tools, and availability. We are not liable for changes, interruptions, or discontinuation of the service.
15. Termination
You may stop using Wandor at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- you violate these Terms;
- you misuse the app;
- your content creates legal, safety, or privacy concerns;
- we are required to do so by law;
- we discontinue the service.
After termination, some provisions of these Terms will continue to apply, including ownership, content licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute rules.
16. Deleting Your Account
You may request account deletion through the app or by contacting us at servicedesk@memocom.nl.
When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal data as required by applicable law and our Privacy Policy. Some information may be retained if necessary for legal, security, abuse-prevention, or operational reasons.
17. Privacy
Your use of Wandor is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information such as account data, photos, device information, and optional location or route data. You should read the Privacy Policy carefully before using Wandor.
18. Third-Party Services
Wandor may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, maps, authentication, notifications, crash reporting, image storage, or other app functionality. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.
19. Disclaimers
Wandor is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied.
20. Limitation of Liability

- your use of the app;
- your User Content;

- your unlawful or unsafe conduct while completing quests.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we may notify you through the app, by email, or by another reasonable method.
Your continued use of Wandor after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
